Two babies were born to them on the way and sadly Lorenz TURNWALD was injured in an accident during a storm in the Tasman Sea and died. The ship arrived in Auckland on 27th June 1863 and the 83 reached Puhoi by sailing cutter and finally Maori canoes 2 days later on the 29th June 1863.
