The Puhoi 150th Anniversary Steering Committee was established in 2009.

However with 2013 drawing closer, the decision to become
'Puhoi 150th Anniversary Society Incorporated'
was tabled and approved at the Puhoi Community meeting held in the Puhoi Historical Society's
Record Room on Sun 11th September 2011.

At the meeting, the proposed Rules were approved, the following Officers and Committee
were nominated and appointed and the Committee's Solicitor
was instructed to file the application and
take all necessary steps to become an Incorporated Society.

Response to the previously held
COMMUNITY MEETING.

As planned, the 150th Planning Committee met for morning tea in the hall with a good number of representatives of local Puhoi committees and others on Sunday 19 June. All seemed pleased about the planning that has occurred to date and are excited that the settlement of Puhoi in 1863 will be suitably celebrated in 2013. This is a big event for the wider community.
